I’ve had my fair share of bosses—some were fantastic, while others… let’s just say they could win awards for making Mondays feel like a horror movie. Take Dr. Hockett, for example. With a degree in psychology, he worked wonders with patients battling their inner demons. Meanwhile, some bosses who shall remain nameless thought it was a brilliant idea to turn off the AC in summer and the heat in winter over the weekend. You know, just to keep the suspense alive for Monday morning!
But my favorite boss? It’s my husband, Dr. Grant. Starting out working together was like trying to ride a unicycle while juggling flaming torches—challenging and mildly terrifying! Now that we’ve gotten the hang of it, though, it’s one of the most rewarding experiences (and I still have my eyebrows).
Watching him grow has been a joy. He shows heartfelt empathy toward patients dealing with life’s curveballs, and his endless jokes keep us all laughing (even if some of them are recycled more than a 90s boy band reunion tour)! He’s sharp, witty, and seriously the smartest guy I know.
I’m pretty sure our whole team would unanimously agree that Dr. Grant is an incredible boss. He genuinely cares about our patients and the level of care we provide. But what I love most is his knack for helping us grow as individuals—like a gardening expert, but instead of plants, he’s nurturing slightly quirky humans!
